The pioneering efforts of the trustees, their foresight and creative instinct led to the foundation of Prof. V. B. Shah Institute of Management, R.V. Patel College of Commerce (English Medium), V. L. Shah College of Commerce ( Gujarati Medium) and Sutex College of Computer Applications & Science, Amroli on 1998. Institute got permanent affiliation on 1998 and has been recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC ACT.
Amroli SFI College plays a very pivotal role in the fastest developing city of Surat, which has almost 35% of population who has migrated from different parts of India.Our College is located in such an area which is bearing such migrated population who are economically lower middle class rural area people. Most of them have migrated for industrial opportunities that the diamond city Surat provides them. The students who take admission in our College are youth of these migrated population having rural background and lower middle class standards irrespective of their cast, creed, region, languages, economical background or religious beliefs, our College provides them opportunities for higher education. Students have exposed to urban standards, they are made techno-savvy particularly girls are given ample opportunities to realize their inner strength, capabilities and above all self-respect for themselves.
Since its establishment in 1998, the college has made remarkable strides in both academic offerings and infrastructural developments. Initially College offered B.B.A, B. Com. and BCA Courses and recognition under Sections 2(f) of the UGC Act in 2000. Our College underwent their first cycle of accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on June 15, 2009, and were awarded a ‘B’ grade. Subsequently, in December 2009, the institutions received a ‘B’ grade with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.55 from NAAC and also received a 3-Star GSIRF rating.
We are proud to announce that our institution has received a prestigious award for contributing the highest number of voluntary blood donations by the “Surat Raktadan Kendra Research Centre.” This recognition reflects our college’s deep commitment to social responsibility and community service. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our dedicated students, faculty, and staff whose generous participation made this achievement possible. Our college also launched certificate courses in the fields of commerce, management, and IT.
We are delighted to share that, during the academic year 2023-24, our college was honored with “Sanman Patra” as the Best NSS College by Shri Prafulbhai Panseriya, Minister of Education. This prestigious recognition highlights our active commitment to community service and social responsibility through the National Service Scheme (NSS).
